Fire and Ashes Collection

Visible in various series of my work, fire is often a drawing material, used directly on paper. By using the ashes themselves, the process is transformed into a fiery, ritualistic phenomenon.

Within the spiritual scope of this language, the representation of fire through the ashes of burnt paper progressively detaches itself from its primitive function, conceiving references to another dimension of thought, where destruction is more than a change, it is a renewal.

Each print is meticulously crafted using the renowned Giclée Fine Art Printing process, celebrated for its museum-quality reproductions and enduring longevity. This process faithfully reproduces the chine-collé technique, a delicate method of layering thin papers onto a heavier surface during printing, as seen in the original works. These prints are derived from a series of rice papers enriched with fire and Indian ink, delicately superimposed on a heavier paper. They serve not only as a testament to the alchemy of materials but also emit a pure radiance, capturing the essence of life's flame.
